Gobi Drug and Alcohol Intervention Education Program for Your Teen

Help Your Teen Today

Don’t hesitate to start helping your teen today.

Has your teen been experimenting with drugs or alcohol? The Gobi Intervention Education program guides parents and teens through a collaborative journey of understanding to help curb or stop the use of substances.

The Gobi Intervention Education program is for middle and high school teenagers. Our program for kids and teens is not the right program for you if your child is out of high school, addicted to marijuana or alcohol, over 18 or “out of control”. If you have any further questions you can email us at jberenson@gobi.support or please see our Resources page for further help.

Please provide your (not your teen’s) contact information.

How Gobi helps you by doing the heavy lifting?

Learn effective strategies on how to save your child from drug addiction with our comprehensive services. At Gobi, we assist by providing professional guidance on how to foster open communication and create a supportive environment. Our early intervention education program provides understanding of triggers that are crucial steps in helping your child cope with substance misuse and lead a healthy life.

How Gobi’s drug intervention education with your teenager works

Understanding our program is crucial for its success. At Gobi, we provide the right information to help you create a supportive family environment, and plan the conversations carefully. By fostering a compassionate and non-judgmental approach, you can help your teen recognize the need for change and seek appropriate help, lead to helpful discussions, and develop substance use awareness in them. All the responses are stored on our secure, HIPAA-compliant server. Ten minutes can change a life.

Using to alleviate anxiety/depression?
We often hear from teens and parents about the perception that drinking alcohol or smoking marijuana are tools teens use to manage depression or anxiety. To help these teens, we have created unique tracks to help teens question the relationship between their substance use and their depression or anxiety. These tracks are not treatment programs for anxiety or depression and are designed instead to provide additional education on the mental-health risk factor of substance misuse in teens that can augment their relation with their parents.

Track Participation
Feedback is monitored by a mental health professional specializing in addiction. We track participation and keep you informed. We will be there for you and your teen every step of the way.

Regular communication via text message or email
Teens are connected all day! And Gobi helps them with education on making better choices, handling stress, peer pressure and goal setting.

Supportive Memes
Teens receive positive messages with insights, inspiration, support, and even funny pictures to lighten the mood. We speak teen, and our content is teen-tested and creates relevant, easy-to-connect-with reinforcement through daily communications.

Parent & Teen Conversations
Your involvement as a parent is critical. Don’t worry—Gobi will get the conversation going and guide you every step of the way.

Parent Support
You will receive program support through emails from our collaboration with leading experts in the fields of addiction recovery and substance abuse. On three separate occasions, your teen will be asked to schedule a time to walk with you. Topics and guidelines will be included to make the conversation as successful as possible.

“Working together as a family and the action of doing something together has brought us closer.”

Gobi is an education-based program that provides a self-administered guide to promote self-examination and a healthy lifestyle. Gobi is not a treatment program nor intended to be a substitute for treatment. If your teenager is experiencing significant impairment in functioning because of the use of drugs or alcohol, or due to any other reason, they should receive a professional assessment by a trained clinician.
